Head planning Group Two mission for Soudania
Freddy Head intends to aim his exciting four-times winner Soudania at the Group Two Prix du Conseil de Paris at ParisLongchamp on October 20. The three-year-old is enjoying a superb spell of form, winning her last four races having been beaten only once, when runner-up on her debut. Unraced at two, the daughter of Sea The Stars has incrementally stepped up in class, with her last two winning performances coming in Listed and Group Three company respectively. The filly gained black-type status when taking the Listed Prix de Liancourt at ParisLongchamp over an extended mile and a quarter. That success was followed up in the Prix du Prince d’Orange, a Group Three contest run at the same track.
She will not be in action during Arc weekend as connections feel there is not enough time between races. Instead, she will appear later in October. “I’m pleased with her, but she’s not running on Arc weekend,” said Head. “It is too close. She wasn’t in the races and we wouldn’t supplement her. She will run at the end of October in a Group Two at Longchamp.”
