Head lines up Polydream for Deauville repeat
Polydream will be looking to defend her Prix Maurice de Gheest title at Deauville off the back of her win at ParisLongchamp.
The four-year-old filly ended a three-race run without a win by claiming a fairly comfortable half-length success ahead of Marianafoot in Thursday evening’s Group Three Prix de la Porte Maillot. And trainer Freddy Head claims the timing is now ideal for a return to Group One action to defend her Prix Maurice de Ghees crown on August 4. He said: ‘She did it very well. She ran a good race and has come out it very well.‘We’re are going for the Prix Maurice de Gheest – the race she won last year ‘The timing of that race is good.’
