Nothing Lacking In Dalgleish Filly

Nothing Lacking In Dalgleish Filly

Another Win Likely For Eaves Mount At Optimum Course And Distance

Being by Derby winner Sir Percy it seems reasonable to assume that NEVER BE ENOUGH would enjoy trips around a mile and a half but it looks as though she takes more after her grandsire, miler Lahab.

She has raced 10 times in total, with two wins and five placed, the victories both coming over Hamilton’s extended mile and she’s back here today with more than decent prospects.

In-between the wins she raced three times over a mile and a quarter, getting a couple of places and a down-the-field on Newcastle’s all-weather.

Her liking for the track is not surprising as the progeny of Sir Percy are operating at a win rate of 10 from 49 on it.

The good ground is perfect and Dalgleish is in fine form with a win ratio at the moment of 16% from over 60 runners in the last fortnight, and a 5 lbs penalty looks within her bounds.

CLUB WEXFORD is another recent runner and probably the main danger.

He ran fifth in the Carlisle Bell after two wins over a mile, and the winner of that race, Rousayan, came out again at Pontefract yesterday and absolutely sluiced up from a good field.

He is up 6 lbs from his last win and that might just be too much, a remark that applies to COOLAGH FOREST who is up 9 lbs, even with Sean Davis’ allowance taken into account.

The 4/1 on offer about Dalgleish’ filly should be enough.
