No Question Of A Winner At Wolverhampton
Consistent Type To Get His Head In Front Back On Favourite Course
The Richard Guest trained WHATWOULDYOUKNOW, who goes in the Come To Gentleman’s Evening – 16th November Handicap at Wolverhampton this evening, has been running well on the turf this season without getting his head in front at the post. He has been campaigned at Beverley and has been beaten by an average of a little over four lengths in three races off marks in the mid-sixties but goes back today to a course and surface that have given much better returns. He has run at Wolverhampton on four occasions and has returned figures of 2, 1, 1 and 1, the latest win off a mark of 62, and he competes off just two pounds higher today. His liking for the course is confirmed by the performance of the progeny of his sire Lope De Vega there which is running at a 23% success rate; quite significant. He is back to the distance over which he has won twice and regular partner Philip Prince is on board. ARLECCHINO’S LEAP is top on BTO ratings and stats and is being backed, as is favourite SUBLIMAL, runner-up at Lingfield just last Thursday. At Bet 365’s 6/1 Whatwouldyouknow can add to his course wins. G Lees
