Easterby Filly Weighted To Return To Winning Form
Qiuick Return For Unlucky Loser
Although not totally apparent at first viewing, one of the unluckiest losers of the season was the Tim Easterby trained SUPAULETTE at Redcar last week. Racing over six furlongs in an amateurs’ event, the filly broke well and then appeared slightly unbalanced with jockey Emily Easterby leaning to her left and looking down. The culprit was a slipped saddle and the pilot must have worked miracles to just get pipped in a ‘photo by Mansfield, with the rider unable to give the horse much help with hands, whip or heels. Supaulette goes off the same mark of 66 today and returns to the course and distance she won over three outings ago.Her closest challenger on form and figures is CLUB TROPICANA a winner at Yarmouth four days ago after being off the course for over two months. She is up five pounds and down a furlong with an inexperienced jockey now on board and these factors make Easterby’s horse look a worthy favourite at 9/4.
