Pretty Polly Worth Waiting for – Lanigan
The Juddmonte Pretty Polly Stakes at the Curragh will be the next target for Worth Waiting, according to handler David Lanigan.
There were expectations of seeing Worth Waiting in action at Royal Ascot but connections are set to resist temptation and have the daughter of Bated Breath ready for the Pretty Polly Stakes. After her efforts last time out which saw her win the Dahlia Stakes at Newmarket, Lanigan is happy to bide his time and make sure Worth Waiting is fully recovered for The Curragh. ‘We are going to wait for the Pretty Polly. She had quite a hard race last time out, they got racing a good four furlongs out and they started sprinting a long way out,’ Lanigan said. ‘Going to The Curragh just gives her plenty of time to get over it. She came out of the race well and is in great order and I’m really happy with her. ‘I just thought she had a ding-dong battle from a long way out and by doing this we are not rushing her back. I think it is the sensible route to go against fillies.’Follow us on Twitter racing365dotcom and like our Facebook page.
