Anodor kept under wraps for French Guineas
Trainer Freddy Head has revealed that Anodor is now unlikely to race until the French 2000 Guineas at ParisLongchamp on May 12.
The way Anodin colt enjoyed a good start his first two starts, before finishing third and just a length behind winner Royal Marine in the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere at Longchamp in October. The plan for Anodor was to feature in the French 2000 Guineas, although it was unsure if Head would pitch him into a preparation race beforehand. However, after watching him in the past week, he revealed that Anodor will now go straight to Paris. ‘He’s doing well.I’m happy with him. We’re on course for the French Guineas,’ said Head. ‘He won’t run before then. ‘ Meanwhile, Head said he ‘wasn’t tempted’ to take Anodor to Newmarket for the 2000 Guineas instead, following the news Too Darn Hot was ruled out.
