The Force Can Be With You At Kempton
Consistent Type Ready To Get His Head In Front Again
Hugo Palmer’s COLLIDE will be backed into heavy favourite tonight in the mile and a half 32 Red Handicap but might be blown away by EXECUTIVE FORCE. The former hasn’t been seen since the end of last season when upped to a Class 1 at Newmarket and last to True Self. He is better judged on his previous easy win over Whitlock in a Class 3 handicap when he won easily by six lengths off a mark of 87. Today he is still on the 96 he was beaten at in the Newmarket event so has a lot to do on form.Executive Force will certainly not lack in fitness as he has been going all winter and to great effect, with six wins and two places from eight runs. The problem is the distance which he hasn’t tackled before but he was running on really well at two furlongs less when winning at Chelmsford and it looks like NOBLE GIFT will be a semi-reluctant pacesetter so there will be no breakneck speed. Executive Force competes off 96, a mark he nearly justified when third last-time-out when just run out of it after being hampered. He looks the one today. G Lees
