Reynolds reveals Presenting Percy hopes
Owner Philip Reynolds has revealed Presenting Percy is being considered for the Savills Chase at Leopardstown.
The talented runner was expected to get his season up and running at Punchestown in the John Durkan Memorial Chase but was withdrawn with the going unsuitable. Now connections are considering other options and the Savills Chase at Leopardstown on December 28 looks like the next opportunity for an outing, going permitting. ‘He’s in great form. It’s sad he wasn’t here.My stomach was in bits all week waiting for today and I’m going to have to go through it all again in December,’ Reynolds told At The Races. ‘He’s in terrific form. Pat just felt the ground wasn’t soft enough. He’s been back in since the beginning of August. We thought we might get a run into him early November time, then we thought we were going to Punchestown. ‘Leopardstown is only a couple of weeks away, if Pat wasn’t happy I wasn’t going to push his hand, so we will just have to wait until the 28th. I’m not sure whether Leopardstown will be any worse than Punchestown. The ground at Leopardstown at Christmas can be pretty good.’
