Quinn glad to have Dettori for Pretty Pollyanna showdown
Trainer John Quinn is delighted to have Frankie Dettori on board Signora Cabello to take on Pretty Pollyanna at Newmarket on Saturday.
Signora Cabello was beaten into second by Michael Bell’s charge on August 19 as they clashed in the Group 1 Prix Morny Stakes. That was the duo’s last outing and they will go head to head once more at Headquarters this weekend in a field of 11 in the Juddmonte Cheveley Park Stakes.
Pretty Pollyanna, who heads the market for next year’s 1000 Guineas, will be a tough nut to crack and Quinn feels his filly has the best chance of winning with the legendary Italian in the saddle.
‘There’s not a lot between them, it’s a different day on a different track, that’s the way I look at it.
We’re pleased with our filly,’ he told At The Races.
‘We’re very pleased to have Frankie again, there’s no better man to have on the big day.’
