Three Year Old To Bounce Back Under Suitable Conditions
No Leap Of Faith For Harris Filly Back in the late winter when a hot summer was a dream, BUNGEE JUMP, Cameron Noble’s mount in today’s Witheford Equine Barrier Trials At Lingfield Park Fillies’ Handicap won three races on the all weather here at Lingfield and at Kempton over six and seven furlongs.
She goes over the former this afternoon, and, in an eight horse race, looks worth a bet. She has, of late run over the minimum of five furlongs and it is a tribute to her that she managed to get within a length of winners Kick On Kick On and Embour and showed enough speed to win over that distance on fast turf ground at Chepstow five outings ago. In a perfect world she would be going off her winning mark of 80 but Noble takes five pounds off her 87 and the switch to Polytrack and six furlongs is encouraging. She is rated third on BTOPlus+ regular and speed figures and gets a nice half dozen positives, including the liking of the progeny of her sire Canford Cliffs for Polytrack (16% better than expected) and at Lingfield (15% better). Ladbrokes’ 11/2 in this eight horse affair looks an each way bet to nothing. G Lees
