Flat Winner Ready To Get First Success Over jumps
Trainer Looking Forward to A Victory At Huntingdon
Trained by Clive Cox in his three-year-old days, GET BACK GET BACK ran 11 times, on the flat, mainly on the all-weather and managed three wins over middle distances. He was gelded after making his debut and then had a wind operation after another four runs, so hasn’t been the easiest to train but won on good ground in the spring and looked game enough when third to Galileo Silver at Kempton in July. Transferred to Harry Fry’s Dorset yard, he was hooded when making his hurdles debut over today’s course and distance a fortnight ago and has that aid on again today. His second to Golden Taipan was full of promise and the fourth Carry On had won a maiden hurdle at Bangor in August. The son of Prix Jean Prat winner Lord Shanakill, the gelding should find the distance ideal, with the latter’s progeny 11% over it, and the latter also has a winner at Huntingdon from two entries. Fry has jockey Sean Bowen on board and they are a decent, if not spectacular four from 24 at the course and have had a second and third from two runners in the last fortnight. The horse is top on BTO regular and speed ratings. GLORY AND FORTUNE is the obvious danger after winning Cheltenham’s prestigious New Year’s Day bumper this season. That wasn’t unexpected as he went off second favourite but one might have expected him to have made his debut over hurdles by now and he wears a hood today. ALMAZHAR GARDE and ARIA ROSE are being backed but the former looks to have no secrets on form and the latter didn’t win on nine flat attempts and was unspectacular on his jumps debut at Warwick, being beaten nearly 20 lengths. At a widely available 7/4, Get Back Get Back might go forward faster than his opponents this afternoon.Follow us on Twitter racing365dotcom and like our Facebook page.
