Improving Chaser To Go In Again At Wetherby

Seven-Year-Old Still In Bloom

Dumfries trainer Iain Jardine is in fine form with a double at Southwell on Wednesday and sends a really progressive one down the M1 today.

FLOWERY had a pretty unimpressive career in Ireland, 10 races culminating in an RO at Fairyhouse in a handicap hurdle.

Transferred to Jardine, a 50 day break, the Scottish air and the equipping of a hood worked wonders and he promptly dotted in at Sedgefield in a handicap hurdle.

Another win and a second followed, before he was put over fences and won easily at Sedgefield.

He does carry 10 lbs more today but is clearly getting better and can defy that rise.

The son of St Leger winner Millenary is out of an Old Vic mare has staying written all over him and today’s extra two furlongs and Wetherby’s uphill finish will be ideal.

He is top on BTO ratings and Jardine is one from two at the course, so all looks good.

WILBERDRAGON, at an easily found 12/1, has some interesting sire (Kayf Tara) stats in his favour and LOUGH SALT inevitably runs well here but Flowery can blossom further before going on to better things over three miles.
