Judicial team open to Goodwood run
Connections of Judicial have confirmed their charge is in good condition and available to run at Glorious Goodwood next week.
The seven-year-old had a wind operation over the summer and it seems to have worked a treat after the bay gelding won at Newmarket on July 19. Judicial only had to beat Encore D’Or on that occasion and he won by a short head but the team have been delighted by his progress. Trainer Julie Camacho has a number of races in mind at Goodwood, while alternatively, assistant Steve Brown says connections are also considering entries at both Hamilton and Chester. He told reporters: ‘We were pleased he got his head back in front. The ground wasn’t quite to his liking, but he managed to do enough. ‘He’s come out of the race well, and we’re gearing towards next week – where he will either go down for the Group Two at Goodwood, a conditions race at Hamilton, or there’s a Listed race at Chester. ‘We’d expect him to run in one of those. That looks logical timing-wise, and we’ll see how everything’s looking. ‘I imagine if Battaash turns up in top form at Goodwood then he’s going to be hard to beat. ‘It’s an interesting one. We’ll make our entries – first and foremost he needs to be fit and well, and we can decide where we want to go and what we want to do.’Follow us on Twitter racing365dotcom and like our Facebook page.
