Every Little Helps Jack At Bangor

Improving Six-Year-Old Hurdler Ready To Strike Again

There are three recent winners in the Wrexham Lager Handicap hurdle over an extended two miles at Bangor this afternoon and the winner is very likely to come from one of the trio.

MOVIE SET is top-weight after showing a better engine than jumping ability at Fakenham last time, beating Vancouver seven lengths when wearing first-time cheek-pieces.

He goes off the same mark here but it was a conditional jockeys’ seller, not the best of form.

The name Jonjo O’Neill straightaway captures the punter’s attention and when there are two – trainer and jockey son – this increases expectation even further.

TIDAL WATCH, a winner for the duo at Kempton last Tuesday, is a worthy favourite, though he is up 7 lbs and Bangor is a totally different course to Kempton.

PETITE JACK has plenty to offer; a really decent all-weather flat performer, he transferred that ability to hurdles at the fifth time of asking at Wincanton nine days ago, coming home in good style from Rowley Park.

He definitely looks to have improvement in him and will like Bangor – the progeny of his sire, Champs Elysees are three from six there.

He is 11/4 second favourite with many bookmakers.
