Mullins names strong Auteuil team
Willie Mullins has selected a strong line-up for the Grande Course de Haies d’Auteuil on Saturday.
A four-time winner of the race known as the French Champion Hurdle, Mullins has lodged three entries, with recent Annie Power Mares Hurdle champion Benie Des Dieux leading the charge alongside Yorkhill and Melon. Mullins said: ‘We have a good few entries for the Grande Course and Benie Des Dieux is a definite runner along with Melon and Yorkhill. We’ll decide whether to run any others in the next couple of days. ‘ Grand National placer Rathvinden is also set to run in France on Sunday, with the Grand Steeple-Chase de Paris his goal. Mullins will be aiming for his first win in the race, but again has plenty of talent at his disposal. The Closutton handler said: ‘Rathvinden will run and our Irish Grand National winner Burrows Saint and Pleasant Company are also intended runners, while Acapella Bourgeois might also take his chance.’Follow us on Twitter racing365dotcom and like our Facebook page.
