Paisley Park to run at Cheltenham
Trainer Emma Lavelle says nothing should be stopping Paisley Park from running at Cheltenham on Saturday.
The six-year-old has already triumphed at Grade One level in the Long Walk Hurdle and will now drop back to Grade Two carrying a six pound penalty. Paisley Park is unbeaten in three outings so far this season, and is primed to run in the Cheltenham Festival in March. He could have gone there fresh, but Lavelle says his good form means that there should be no concerns about him running an extra race, as he prepares for the galliardhomes. com Cleeve Hurdle.‘He seems to be in really good form. He schooled well during the week and we’re very happy with him,’ said Lavelle. ‘It would have been easy to say he’s won his Grade One this season and he’s unbeaten, so let’s just go straight for the Stayers’ Hurdle. ‘However, he is really well and horses aren’t really well all the time, so I think we should run him. ‘He hasn’t a lot of experience in his life and it will be good to give him another run at Cheltenham. We’ll see how we go.’
