Quick Returner Has Conditions To Win Again At Bangor

After 22 races under his care, Henry Daly will know all the quirks of his nine-year-old hurdler FLASHJACK.

The son of middle-distance performer Soapy Danger ran and won at Fontwell last week after a 56 days break and can go in again today off just 3 lbs higher, with winning jockey Michael Nolan on board.

He beat Vive Le Roi a length and a half into second there, and that horse looked to be coming into the form that got him three wins and numerous places last season.

Odds-on favourite and last-time-out winner Corinto was back in third and if the form is trustworthy points Flashjack up as the winner.

Today’s distance as a couple of furlongs shorter, not hugely significant around the three miles, and the ground is the same.

Flashjack is top on regular BTO ratings and second on speed, is best in four of the twelve categories and the recipient of two positives, including Daly’s nine from 27 at Bangor.

The rest of the field look typical, hard-to predict handicappers, though LOOKS LIKE POWER has a real positive via his three from eight win return at Bangor for his sire, Spadoun, and looks to be running into form.

At the widely offered 2/1 Nolan’s mount can flash home.
