Mare To Do The Trick At Yarmouth
Quick Returner Has Conditions To Get Her Head In Front
The last win that the Lydia Pearce trained LUNA MAGIC achieved was here at Yarmouth nearly a year ago to the day, and she tries a repeat under a longer trip this afternoon. Last year’s win was over a mile off a mark of 60, wearing her occasional hood. She goes off five pounds less today and has the hood on again, as she did when producing her best race for eight months when a running-on second to serial winner False ID (goes in the 3. 55 Brighton) at Leicester three days ago.Her partner (first time) that day, Brett Doyle, is on board again this afternoon. The mare is rated second on regular and top on speed by BTO and conditions look right, and though she is probably tricky, the quick return augurs well. Next best is distinctly PENDO, who is in form and another course winner, and GO FOX is well rated on BTO but is drifting in the betting, so at 5/1 with Unibet in an eight horse field, Luna looks an each way bet to nothing.
