Logician focused on York date
Teddy Grimthorpe says Logician is likely to head straight to the Great Voltigeur at York next month.
The three-year-old is now unlikely to take in another race before the August 21 Group Two contest on the Knavesmire, according to Grimthorpe, racing manager to owner Khalid Abdullah. The John Gosden-trained three-year-old has an unblemished three victories from three so far and will hope to extend that successful record next month. Grimthorpe has not completely closed the door on the possibility of another outing soon but has his sights set firmly on the Great Voltigeur next for the Frankel colt. He said: ‘The plan at the moment is to go to the Great Voltigeur. He would have to run pretty soon if we were going to get a race in before that, so I suspect we will go straight there.’Follow us on Twitter racing365dotcom and like our Facebook page.
