It All Looks Beautiful At Salisbury
Improving Three-Year-Old Ready To Strike Again
An improving filly can be a source of betting income and BELLA VITA can prove that today, starting in the Byerley Stud British EBF Fillies’ Handicap at Salisbury. She has run just three times and won on her seasonal debut, galloping on strongly to beat Shrewdness and 11 others on turf at Lingfield a couple of weeks ago. She produced a good time there, staying on strongly at the end of the mile and a quarter, and a longer trip might be ideal in the months to come. The filly is likely to appreciate the stiffer nature of today’s track and QUINTADA will almost certainly set the pace so there won’t be a false run affair. A three-year-old daughter of Aussie Rules, today’s faster underfoot conditions are also likely to play to Bella’s strengths. FRISELLA will be favourite but looked a bit of a madam in her Chelmsford win and wears a hood again. SUFFICIENT is top on BTO ratings but looks to have exhausted any improvement and at 7/2 Bella can show us a bit of the good life.
