Lostintranslation has Gold Cup potential – Tizzard
Trainer Colin Tizzard believes Lostintranslation can go on to be a contender for the Cheltenham Gold Cup after starring at Aintree.
The seven-year-old has impressed over two-and-a-half miles this season but was tested over three miles in the Midmay Novices’ Chase at Aintree on Friday. Robbie Power opted for a patient approach and his tactics worked to great effect as they kicked on one from home to claim victory by six lengths. Tizzard was full of praise for his charge and insists they will be looking to get Lostintranslation ready for the Gold Cup next year. ‘Obviously, we’ll be going down that route; he’s got everything in front of him,’ Tizzard said when asked if he could be a Gold Cup horse.‘He’s a dream horse. I’ve always felt with the Cue Cards, the Native Rivers and the Thistlecracks, where am I ever going to find another one? I think we’ve seen it today again. ‘He was like poetry. He just sat there in third and crept up and made it look so easy.’
