It Looks Like A Straightforward Day At Ludlow
Not A Problem For Novice Hurdler To Win Again
The Kim Bailey-trained HES NO TROUBLE produced a promising debut when seventh, beaten 16 lengths, in a good Warwick novice hurdle won by Birchdale last December. He ran and jumped well there – he won his only point-to-point in Ireland – and that race has thrown out a good few winners, with first home Birchdale coming out and taking a Class 1 at Cheltenham next time, and Boldmere, just in front of Hes No Trouble there, taking a Class 3 at Market Rasen on his subsequent outing. Bailey’s gelding then confirmed himself useful when making all next time out at Huntingdon. He again jumped well and is clearly on the up.CERVARO MIX and SOFIA’S ROCK are up there with Hes No Trouble on form, BTO ratings and stats, and look the main dangers but the latter’s jockey David Bass’ impressive 10 from 38 at Ludlow – 43% better than expected – swing things in his favour and he’s edging towards a reasonable 2/1 on the exchanges.
