Start The Day With A Klassic
Dream To Come True At Cheltenham
County Carlow trainer Willie Mullins has won the Supreme Novices’ on four occasions in the last 11 seasons and ran up a hat-trick just a few years ago. He has KLASSICAL DREAM, a five-year-old ex-French gelding, in the race today with an outstanding chance of winning. He improved steadily in six races in France before an out of character pulled up and has the run twice for Mullins, getting his head in front on both occasions. He was ridden by today’s pilot Ruby Walsh at Leopardstown last-time-out in a Group 1 and showed not only speed and jumping ability but a terrific attitude when getting up close home and winning by a head from stablemate ARAMON after looking set for second place. That horse had won the prestigious Paddy Power by 10 lengths on his previous run over Christmas, so the form is excellent. AL DANCER is a clear second best on performance and BTO ratings, whilst FAKIR D’OUDAIRIES is improving but is one whose earlier form leaves him a bit short for this. At 5/1, and a quarter the odds offered by Bet365, Klassical Dream looks an each-way bet to nothing. Away from Cheltenham, IMADA is top rated and has ideal conditions in the 4. 35 at Sedgefield and quick returner BALLYQUIN has everything right for him but track experience at Southwell an hour earlier.
