Creationist in contention for Craven Stakes
Owner Nick Bradley has confirmed Wednesday’s Craven Stakes at Newmarket is one of several options for highly-rated colt Creationist.
The three-year-old made a highly-promising start to his racing career by finishing third on debut at Kempton before Christmas and he has followed up that initial promise by recording back-to-back wins, most recently in a Novice Stakes at Newcastle at the start of February. Since then the Roger Charlton-trained colt has taken a short break, but Bradley has now confirmed he will return to action this month, with a run in the Craven Stakes being one of his options. He was entered at Chelmsford, but we felt that was quite a hot race and decided to give it a miss. ‘He is in the Craven, which also looks a hot race this year. The other options are a handicap at Sandown or the Burradon Stakes, which is the Listed race at Newcastle on Good Friday,’ said Bradley. ‘He’ll run somewhere this month, but I’m not sure where at this stage.’
