Edmunds talks up Maria’s Benefit
Stuart Edmunds has hailed the performance of Maria’s Benefit following her success in the Canter Carpet Mares’ Novices’ Chase.
The talented runner maintained her unbeaten record over fences to claim the victory on Wednesday at Bangor and now connections are considering plans for her next outing. A trip to Kempton at Christmas may be on the cards but, for now, Edmunds was delighted to see Maria’s Benefit keep her winning run going under jockey Ciaran Gethings. ‘Her jumping was very accurate,’ Edmunds said. ‘We were very pleased with her, and Ciaran said he was always very happy.‘That’s probably the furthest she’s ever been, almost two-mile-two, so we’re all very happy.’
