Walsh looking ahead to March
Top jockey Ruby Walsh says that Next Destination is the novice chaser he is ‘looking forward’ to riding the most this season.
Walsh feels the six-year-old, who has yet to make his debut over fences, has what it takes to be a leading contender for the RSA Chase at Cheltenham next March. He is second favourite behind Santini for the three-mile novice championship after winning two Grade One novice hurdles last term.
‘We think he could be a really smart novice chaser and you have to dream,’ said Walsh, a Paddy Power racing ambassador and columnist with Paddy Power News.
‘He has the potential to be top class and he’s got a great attitude.
Of our novice chasers, he’s the one I’m most looking forward to riding this season.’
