Ivory happy with Ascot conditions
Trainer Dean Ivory says recent rain at Ascot will provide great assistance for Librisa Breeze on Saturday.
The Frankel colt will be looking to defend his crown in the Qipco British Champions Sprint Stakes on Saturday, especially now with the ground in his favour. So far this season conditions have not been conducive to good form for the six-year-old but Ivory believes he can now get his mojo back and win on Saturday.
‘The rain is going to help us, we hope,’ said the Radlett trainer. ‘He was a little bit disappointing last time.
We’re always hopeful but it’s a Group One so we’re mindful of that and they are never easy.
‘We backed up his last run quite quickly after he came back from France and the race at Newbury wasn’t run to suit. It’s a race we have to forget and put a line through.
‘He always runs well at Ascot so we’re just hoping it does again.’
