Six-Year-Old Looks Set To Confirm Form With Rivals
Sprinter Has Conditions Right For Eighth Win
Sprinter Has Conditions Right For Eighth Win
The ability to act on soft ground is probably the most important criterion to fill when trying to find a winner today with soft or heavy in all of the going descriptions across UK and Ireland. Paul Midgley’s TARBOOSH has raced on testing ground on a dozen occasions, producing five wins and five placed efforts. He bids for another win today in the five furlong Breeders Backing Racing EBF Flying Scotsman Conditions Stakes and has every chance of adding another 1 to the figures. In opposition is another soft ground lover in KYLLANG ROCK, who has three wins and as many places from his 10 attempts when competing on such a surface. The two raced against each other at Beverley in the last week in September and Tarboosh was an easy winner coming home over a length from Dark Shot with Kyllang Rock over three lengths back in third. The latter gets a 6lb turnaround for that defeat but that may not be enough. Copper Knight can go on any ground but again is only 2lb better off with Tarboosh for a two length Leicester beating last week when they were second and third to the progressive Archer’s Dream. Broken Spear is the youngest in the field but has no secrets on form, and has a fair bit of improvement to find, something unlikely today. BetVictor’s 11/8 about Tarboosh looks enticing. G Lees
