Cox confirms Goodwood plans
Trainer Clive Cox has confirmed both Positive and Hand On My Heart will run at Glorious Goodwood later this month.
The Lambourn handler is hoping for a big week with his two-year-olds after they made bright starts to their careers earlier this year. Positive made a winning start at Salisbury earlier this summer, while Hand On My Heart proved too much for the field at Windsor on June 29. The Qatar Vintage Stakes and Molecomb Stakes are the races on the agenda and Cox believes both horses have a great chance of winning. He told Sky Sports: ‘Positive will go for the Vintage at Goodwood, all being well.I’m very happy with him. ‘Hand On My Heart is another exciting filly from Chris Harper and Ed Harper’s family. She’s a half-sister to Heartache and Heartwarming. ‘I couldn’t be more pleased with her debut win at Windsor, so she’ll probably be heading that (Goodwood) way – either for the Molecomb or there’s a nice fillies’ race there as well. ‘I’m not quite sure which way we’ll go yet.’
