Appleby outlines Summer Romance plan
Charlie Appleby has earmarked the Prix Six Perfections at Deauville as the next target for Qipco 1000 Guineas hopeful Summer Romance.
Summer Romance managed to follow up her victorious debut at Yarmouth with another fine success when stepped up in class to Listed level last month at Newmarket. With plenty of expectations surrounding Summer Romance and what she might be able to achieve going forward, Appleby feels the Prix Six Perfections at Deauville could be the next ideal outing for his charge. ‘It is probably looking like we are going go for the Six Perfections at Deauville at the end of the month, which is a Group Three over seven furlongs,’ he said. ‘We won the race last year with Beyond Reason, so we know the plan over there. We feel it would fit right into the programme for her.’
