Hills excited for Sandown run
Trainer Charlie Hills says he is looking forward to seeing how Garrus gets on in Saturday’s Coral Charge at Sandown.
Garrus will be having his first run for the Hills team this weekend, having joined his stable following the recent retirement of trainer Jeremy Noseda, and all appears to be going well in his new surroundings. The three-year-old sprinter has won his last two races, having triumphed at Nottingham before claiming the spoils at York last time out in a five-furlong Listed contest. Hills is feeling optimistic ahead of Saturday’s trip to Surrey and is hoping Garrus gets a little bit of luck after being drawn out wide. ‘We’re drawn a little bit wide (in stall nine), but it’s not impossible from there.I think there’s pace all round so we just need a bit of luck,’ he was quoted as saying by Sky Sports. ‘He got a nice form boost since he last ran and he seems a very straightforward horse. He’s been good since he’s been with us. He’s got a lovely temperament.’
