One Master makes amends for Haggas
One Master’s win in the Qatar Prix de la Foret at ParisLongchamp help compensate William Haggas after Sea of Class’ Arc defeat.
The Newmarket trainer had witnessed Enable hold off his three-year-old by a neck to claim the Arc earlier on Sunday, before One Master stepped up to the mark to claim victory with a storming late run.She was well off the front going into the home turn, before jockey Pierre-Charles Boudot went for broke and surged for the line, beating Inns Of Court and Dutch Connection into a respective second and third.
Speaking of One Master’s success, given that she was a 25-1 shot before the race, a delighted Haggas said: ‘It’s now a good day. She’s a good filly, very brave and likes soft ground.
It was rough enough for her today.
‘I’m thrilled to bits.’
