Arc plan for Sea Of Class
Trainer William Haggas says he expects Sea Of Class to be supplemented for the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe.
The three-year-old made it four wins in a row with victory in August’s Yorkshire Oaks, having taken Irish Oaks glory the previous month.Connections were keen to give her another run before the season was out and Haggas says the plan is to enter her for the Arc at Wednesday’s supplementary stage.
It sets up a mouth-watering clash with defending champion Enable and the Newmarket handler is confident the going at Longchamp will suit his filly.
‘Yes, I think our plan is to supplement her,’ he said.
‘The weather forecast looks dry and we’re happy with her, so that’s the idea. ‘
The daughter of 2009 champion Sea The Stars may also be joined by John Gosden’s Cracksman, while St Leger hero Kew Gardens is another likely contender for the latest renewal of Europe’s premier middle-distance race.
