Sea The Lion heading for York
Trainer Jarlath Fahey has confirmed Sea The Lion is being primed for another crack at the Ebor Handicap in York.
Sea The Lion, the son of Sea The Stars, produced a valiant effort in last year’s Ebor, finishing third behind John Gosden’s Muntahaa. The seven-year-old gelding has not been in action since that York outing but Fahey has been pleased with the progress his charge has been making as connections weigh up a potential meeting before the Ebor. ‘I’ve nothing in mind for him at the minute – he’s gone a bit high for the premier handicaps here,’ he was quoted as saying by www. theirishfield.ie.‘The possibility is he might have to go to England to run in those heritage handicaps somewhere along the way. ‘The Ebor is the long-term objective again. We’ll see how he goes before then.’
