ALAN SMITH · LISA STAPLES · 8yo Gelding
Resumes after eight months off following a solid second at this track in BM66+ grade over 1m7 1/2f, beaten just over a length by Mister Popcorn. That came after a safely held sixth at Ascot when unwanted in betting, and the return to 5f is a clear test given he is unplaced from one try around the trip. The sharp 5f fresh looks the hurdle after staying form last campaign.
