Racing365 & Planet Sport Editorial Standards
At Racing365, we aim to publish horse racing content that is accurate, fair and easy to read. These standards explain how we work across our UK and Irish coverage.
1) Respect and zero tolerance to hate
We do not publish content that promotes hate, abuse or unfair bias. We treat people with respect.
2) Fact checks, sources and no plagiarism
We check key facts like names, dates, quotes, race details and results. We use trusted sources, credit them clearly, and do not tolerate plagiarism.
3) Official horse racing data
Our horse racing data (including pre-raceday info such as fields, weights and ratings, plus official results) is supplied via Racing and Sports.
4) Licensed images and image credits
We only use licensed images. Where we use stock images, they are licensed via Alamy.
We credit images in line with our licensing rules and partner guidelines.
5) Independence, conflicts and gifts
Our journalism is independent. We do not change coverage for favours or pressure. If a writer has a conflict of interest, it must be declared to editors and the work may be reassigned.
We do not accept gifts or perks that could influence coverage.
6) Sponsored content and affiliate links
Racing365 may earn money from ads and affiliate links. This does not control our journalism. Any paid or partner content will be clearly labelled as Sponsored.
7) Recency and updates
Where possible, we show publish and update dates so readers can see how fresh a page is.
8) Right of reply
If a story includes serious criticism or an allegation, we will seek a reply where practical before publishing.
9) Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it fast. If you spot an error, email [email protected].
10) Confidential sources
We protect confidential sources and take care not to expose their identity.
11) Human-led reporting
Our content is written and edited by people. We may use tools to support research or formatting, but we do not publish unchecked auto-written copy.

Why betting matters to horse racing
Betting plays a big part in funding the sport. In Great Britain, a statutory Horserace Betting Levy is collected from betting operators and is then distributed to support racing (including improvements to racing and related work).
