MATTHEW SMITH · ZAC LLOYD · 5yo Gelding
Went close in a Newcastle BM72 over 1m1 1/2f last start, held up from the 2f to past the 1¼f before hitting the line to be beaten half a length by Sumac. He had excuses when second last at Illawarra Grange the run prior after beginning slowly and being tightened. Proven at the trip, down to BM64 and profiles as the one to beat.
